When the drive leg starts, Patty's location is on your map. When she's at your home (sit / swim), you see 'at the property' — coarse precision, not surveillance. The map closes when service ends.

If you opt in (separately, per session, with a small fee that legally anchors the consent), the swim lesson video streams encrypted to your account. Watch live, watch later, save what you want. Patty's phone keeps zero copies after upload — the audit log proves it.
Every consent is paid + audit-logged
Driving authorization, photo capture, recording, medical authorization — each is a separately-signed, separately-paid consent gate. Small fees ($0.50 - $5) anchor the consent legally; receipts in your account; never bundled with the service price. Audit-logged for any future review.

Frequently asked questions
How is Patty vetted?
Background check through Checkr (criminal records + driving record + sex offender registry). CPR, first aid, and Water Safety Instructor certification. All cert expiry dates are tracked; if any expire, Patty's profile auto-suspends until renewed.
What does the live location actually show me?
During a drive leg: precise GPS, refreshing every few seconds, with ETA. During a sit / swim leg: 'Patty is at the property' indicator — no precise GPS in your home (we don't surveil). The location channel closes when the service ends.
Why do I have to pay for swim recording consent — isn't recording free?
The recording itself is free of any per-minute fee. The $5 is for the legal consent — Texas Penal Code § 16.02 requires consent to record a minor, and we want the consent to be legally enforceable in any future review. Paid consent is stronger evidence than a free checkbox. The fee covers our audit trail and storage; it never goes to Patty.
What does 'end-to-end encrypted' mean?
Your account has a public + private key pair generated on your phone at signup. Your private key never leaves your phone. When you grant recording consent, your public key goes to Patty's app. Patty's phone encrypts each chunk of video using your public key, uploads it to your storage, then deletes its local copy. Only your phone (with the private key) can play it back. Patty cannot watch it. Koydo cannot watch it. Period.
Where is the swim lesson recorded?
In a private in-home pool — yours. Patty doesn't operate a commercial pool. The WSI certification + your homeowner's pool insurance are what makes it safe + legal.
What about my child's photo?
Photo capture is opt-in per-day. If you grant it, Patty can take ONE photo of your child during the day to send you. Photos auto-delete in 14 days unless you save them. Patty cannot share, post, or use them for any purpose other than sending to you.
Is the app free?
Yes. The app is free for parents and free for Patty. Koydo earns through a 10% platform fee on each transaction (visible on every receipt) plus standard payment processing.
What if I want to cancel a session?
Patty publishes her cancellation policy in-app (typically: 24+ hours before = full refund, 12-24 hours = 50% refund, less than 12 hours = no refund). Cancel from the app with one tap.
